The hard anodized coating on the Extreme series makes the cooking surface of this pot twice as hard as stainless steel and maintains a quick, even heat transfer. This adds up to faster boil times and more evenly cooked food. The GSI Extreme Mess Kit also features an exterior bracket on the pot and lid so the pot gripper doesn't scratch the interior coating. The lid on the pot doubles as a frying pan, so you can make pancakes for breakfast.
