Out of the box, we charged the battery pack because we wanted to make sure it was fully charged, before testing. While we waited, we added the provided batteries to the controller and we were surprised to find that the controller is very light. The truck is well made and the quality is good, with good details. Unfortunately, once we attached the battery to the base of the truck and gave it a few "spins" we realized that the battery pack comes off when the truck bumps into things. We double checked that the battery package was attached and secured properly but it kept on falling anyway, when the truck was hitting something hard. Maybe we need more practice but it seems a challenging task for the truck as the wheels keep on spinning without any sign of engaging to make the truck turn. We tested it at home for now, and gave it enough obstacles to drive over and flip, a test that the truck passed. The sound isn't too loud or disturbing to be used indoors, on a flat surface as tile or wood.
